Sounds like he's not bothered doing it just yet.

So he's going down the commercial route with his music, yet he doesn't want to make money from his label's back catalogue. MAKES SENSE TO ME.

In the interview he said it was more of a licensing issue, as if it would be difficult to get a hold of everybody.

Maybe it is a lot of work, and he is lazy?

Thanks for that Orko :gsmile:

One thing oakenfold let drop is that Jan Johnson - Obsession is to be relased on Perfecto (hopefuly with the Kenneth Thomas remixes). One of the main tracks I've been liking from his recent em - to those who say Perfecto is dead I say that you don't know what you are talking about!!!!

IMO Perfecto went crap after they abandoned Perfecto Fluoro.
just look at the amount of quality releases from Fluoro and compare with the crap they released later (PPK etc).

(PERF025) Flash - The Day After EP
(PERF028) Patient Saints - On Your Mind
(PERF034) Mach 747 - Invading Privately
(PERF044) A Split Second - Flesh
(PERF047) Hernan Cattaneo - Satellites & Deeper Layers

out of those Diamondback, Flesh and Requiem For a Dream are the only really good ones. still can't compete with the older days when every perfecto release was MUST HAVE. back then when Perfecto had the Transa brothers, Tilt, BT aaaaand Martin Freeland. I think when Martin left Perfecto was the biggest loss of all. He was the golden boy at the label. No wonder Oakie used to spin three of his tunes in every other set.

transa wasn't really a big loss, they went to complete after they took their small break.

I Have to say, that the biggest X factor for perfecto right now is Patient Saints....they are without a doubt my favorite perfecto members. They have stopped producing but supposely they were halfway done with their perfecto label album. Hopefully they'll come back.

Their track Patient Saints - Imperpetuem Mobila and Patient Saints - Til Your Heart Is Mine are without a doubt the true sound of the perfecto label; Good underground hardhitting trance. The current members, I only see Liam Shachar resembling that sound (the old school perfecto). Also possibly Kenneth Thomas if his sounds don't get too trancey, he can definitely carry the label.
