Someone rip it onto MPG format!!!
The ppl w/ TV cards plz! :)

Btw, will BOTH shows be the same footage or will it be different?
goodnet
i can try to rip that into .mpg if i can remember the show date... though I prefer divx over mpeg1 anyday :P

oh yay
TimeWarp
I dont know what time... but check ur TV GUIDE PEOPLE :P..
heheh.... but they never told me if the footage would be different or the same.... I assume they're both the same?
sKyBreAK
Whoever posted the stuff about DivX. :)
Most ppl would still prefer MPG even though DivX is awesome. Since we can burn it to VCD if it's in MPG format. Be cool if you would do that man :)
hehe

I received this email today from Larissa Gulka. I will record it with my tv tuner when it comes on New Music b/c i live in the US.
I thought is was really nice of her to reply to my request for the show info:

Hiya. Paul Van Dyk will be shown on R U Receiving tonight Fri. mar. 2 @
11pm, and on The NewMusic mar. 19 @ 9:30pm
It'll air first on Citytv--- next week--mar. 8 @ 11:30pm, mar. 10 @ 8:30pm

I don't think it's aired on Rapid fax yet.
Hope you had a good time at the show!

skybreak> I see what you are saying... but how many people would actually burn these to VCD?

I can make .mpg no problem, but i like DivX better because i am able to apply filters and such to make it look better (i.e. full bleed picture, clean up noise, resize, etc). i guess i could just use mjpeg to edit, and convert to .mpg.

does anyone know how long these TV segments will be? (so i know how much HD space i would need)
TimeWarp
the program usually runs 30 min.... actually less cuz of commercials
goodnet
I meant to ask how many minutes the PVD segment will be... because they usually have 4-5 topics each show i think.

but since you said it's a half hour timeslot, the show itself would be 22 minutes, im guessing the actual PVD segment would be no longer than 5 minutes? someone must know more about this... but i'll look into it. thx

sKyBreAK
Will it be on "The NewMusic" ?
TimeWarp
yup... it will be on the New Music
