E:mortal Black vs. Viral Essence - Green Bliss
View this Thread in Original format

DJ Essence and Virus created a d&b track together. Now I twisted it around to create the first track for the E:mortal Black project.
So, here's a dark psytrance track.
I hope you will enjoy

Dj Essence is doing the vocals :)

Here's the track:

I like this alot. Nothing to complain about.
I like this dark and oriental feelings, they melt toghether well.
Vocals is great, really emotional/atmospheric.

Great work!

hmm, this starts good.
alot of momentum in this. i like the "acid" sounds.
the melody that comes in at 1:30 or something is cool.
vocal bits are cool but doesnt fit the mood your trying to creat i think.

the filtering is really cool.
vocals are weird :p.
melody is cool, feels different, its a really catchy melody you have there! i would actually try to make that an emotional section of the track!

your bassline is really cool! good job on that one.
your melody feels very ethnic!
the 6:00 part is cool too but with this track i would actually try too make some kind of emotional part.

good job, everything sounded really pro.
Drik
Thanks man! I really appreciate the "pro" comment as I've spent a long time creating the sound :P

I dunno about emotional. Maybe I could introduce more emotional stuff in the future but still maintain a dark vibe to it. I normally go under the normal E:mortal project when doing emotional stuff :D

Glad you liked it!
Dj Cola
well just so you know you can make emotional stuff with a dark mood! its all about using the right keyes/chords!
Drik
Hehe, right you are :)

Hey. I told you what I thought about it earlier but I'll restate it :). THis is def some psychadelic stuff. Has a great vibe with the bassline which carries the rest of the song very well. The acidy stabs are a nice touch. Great use of automation/LFOs with the pads and arps. Vokes feel creepy as hell but I dig em :). Good work, yet again ;).

Cheers,
Zac

Totally unnecessary but just for fun, here's a pic of DJ Essence:

crisp base line, its got a dark feel to it, hopein 4 sumfin nice in the brake, good over all production, arabic feel in the brake, good use of vocals with the pad works nicely, but dosnt realy amount to much on the main drag, needs to be a bit uplifting,

try getting a pregnant sheep, patch the nipples to an LFO and automate the cutoff to the reverberations of its fur and filter it through some sileage, you should get a really nice pad sound from that by using the natural harmonics that occur trough its subtle muttony flavour. a touch of parsley should complete the equation.
