Noticed that all Avalon events are now on Want Tickets instead of Groove Tickets for the first time. Groove has been reduced to selling parking for Avalon only. Sad. Groove also isn't selling for any shows in San Diego.
They better find a new big market since they lost SoCal.
Guess it doesn't really matter to the buyer, but you know this will confuse some folks. |

Huh wha? When did this happen? |

My guess would be their contract to carry Avalon events ran out recently and Want Tickets jumped in and grabbed the account. Just a guess.
Nice move by Want. |

I hate their website. It's wierd that the service charge varies per ticket.
wantickets is the new ticketmaster. |

Umm, there's no contracts or anything with Groovetickets as far as I know...you simply sign up with them, sell your tickets and they claim the convenience fee... and the organizer gets a check from all the sales within a week after the event.
There's no telling what happened. Might be they decided to only worry about having one presales list instead of two or maybe their account on Groovetickets just got messed up. Have seen it happen. |

I like Wanttickets sooo much better then Groove anyways.
Shipping to get a hard ticket is only $9 bucks on want. But on Grooves it is $12! |

I called trying to buy tickets from groove and the lady said immedietly that something had come up and I need to call the box office to get tickets for Avalon. Lucky I saw about want tickets from here.... |

Everyone knows that Groovetickets are a bunch of s. I have met peeps who work for booth/wantickets and seem to bit more in touch with things. needless to say, WT is a much better site/customer experience.
word from the inside at TM is they have had their eyes on WT....just like they did with TW...draw your own conclusions. Quite a nice racket though! Wish I had gone into that business! |

I think that I've always had a better experience with the GT will-call staff than the WT one... Plus, Groove shipping is only $6 for 10 business days (or $9 for 5) :) |
