parking ticket question

| ok so i get hella parking tickets and i'd like to not have to pay as many $20 tickets as possible. heres the deal, if they write down the wrong info on the ticket such as wrong make of the car or something along those lines, does that void the ticket? i asked the lady in the police station and she insisted that as long as the plate number is written correctly, when they call in the ticket the correct info always comes back so details like that dont matter... is she just tryin to rob me of 20 bucks or is this true? |

hahaha... i was just contemplating starting a thread asking if i should try to get out of my parking ticket by saying it was an April Fools Joke (i got it on 4/1/06). but yeah you're basically ed. last speeding ticket i got, the cop wrote the wrong dollar amount for my fine on the ticket... and after i went to court, my fine ended up being MORE than what was originally written on the ticket.

in ny, anything wrong on the ticket means the ticket gets thrown out. |

| Had a mate get done for smokin the tyres in Sydney on the corner of street X and Y, but the streets involved ran parallel, so when it went to court he got off. |
