Guys, help me out with this man ..
on the 12th of feb there with be 2 gigs in town (My Town) worth noticing.

which one should i go ???
Satoshi tomie or JJ ???

firstly, reading most of the JJ threads here doesn't make me think he is worth going, yet several other factors made me wanna go.

1) It is held at a really posh club. on normal days, the age limit is 28. for this event, it is 18. (i'm 20). so, i would really wanna check that place out.

2) Commercial Music from the Judge. most pple love it here. which will make the atmosphere great. (we won't want hundreds of bored pple)

3) Recalling his Qontact set and the fact that i never heard him live. makes me wanna check that gig out.

Satoshi Tomie, great DJ. that's for sure, he came by last year, totally rocked my head. it would be held at zouk. (my home ground).

so, do i go for something assured of fun or go for the expectation of fun ???

Well, it depends what type of music you like I guess.

I prefer progressive stuff, so satoshi's tech-house stylings would suit me quite nicely, but, I guess, if you prefer that lollipop trance stuff then maybe the Judge is your man.....

If you've already seen Satoshi live why not go see the Judge, try something new.

Give Jules a chance. When he is on form he can outperform a lot of other DJ's, as u mentioned, his set @ Qontact was way better than any of the other sets there.

I say go see the Judge and enjoy :)

Even tho in the past i have not liked jules much........i'll support him on this one because satoshi tomiie is boring and dry IN MY OPINION but who knows. I'd see jules........always fun....i'm told and he might even hit someone.......who knows.....i'd go see him. Since you have already seen tomiie......go see jules. Most importantly HAVE FUN!

xenderz, I saw Jules for the first time live 2 weeks ago in South Africa. I really enjoyed it - he was helluva entertaining and played some great tracks.

If you want to read my thoughts on it + pics, have a look at: http://www.pcmusic.co.za/archive/20...jules/index.php

There's a review and some great pics (I took some of them :)

you can say jules can out-play alot of other djs and all that bla-de-bla.. but the fact remains most of the time he doesnt.. so if u like ur progressive go see satoshi as he is f00kin quality.. on the other hand if u dont like ur prog still go to see satoshi, at least then u'll be bored to someone who can actually mix.

only by playing consistantly well do you get in jeff's book of cool dj's..

I think the overall party will be better with the Judge. I wouldn't normally say that, but given his music taste and what the crowd likes and goes off too, you'd probably have a better time with JJ. I love Satoshi's stuff, but I saw him once live and was bored stiff, didn't like it at all.

u want to hear some good music go see Satoshi ...if u want commerical cheeze go see Jules... simple as that ...... and people who thing everything progressive is boring ... i feel sorry for those people... Progressive is far from boring .....

judge jules rules like a mo fo with a chewy bar...i think he is cool cause he gets all the white labels like the new push song (club mix) and he is cool so there steel reserve is better than mickeys try it!

Judge Jules for sure, like you said, you prolly won't be able to see him very often, and also you'll be able to check out a elite club, why pass it up.....just go and have a good time
