Armin is a great DJ in terms of his DJing technique and also his production skills.
I belive he has been overlooked as such but his remix of IIO's Rapture seemed to have brought him more to ppl's attention which is a good thing.
I expect good things from Armin in 2002 and already in Jan 2002 with his premier of the new Perpetuous Dreamer track, "Dust.wav" and the flip, "Dub.wav", i think my expectations of him will be fulfilled :)
Can't wait to see him at Crasher next week and then again @ Slinky in the very near future.

I highly respect Armin as a producer. For example, "Communication" is arguably the best tune of the whole trance genre. He wrote it when he was 21, in 1999! (By the way, that means that now he is 23 or 24, but not 25 as somebody said.)
Interestingly, however, as a DJ he often prefers progressive stuff as opposed to uplifting. I've heard some of his livesets from early 2001 and they sound rather dull... :rolleyes: |
