Help with Blackrock melody (midi inside)...

Hello!
I like this song Blackrock - Bluewater.

I hope someone can help me to get the melody + bassoline right/correcth!

I did try to make the melody/midi, but it is not so 100% good.
here is the melody/midi I did make in Fruity Loops:

(I know the sound is not so good, but I first try to make the melody good)

I've made a couple of changes, basically moved the lead sound up an octave and made a slight change to the bassline. But this is pretty much it.
