Hello,
would like to know if any of you have a nice voice and wouldnt mind recording some lines for me for a jingle...
or if you know any good speach synthesizers which arent crap.. ive tried some but theyre just useless.

try using a vocoder,

BTW did you know that cell phone companies use vocoders to reduce the ammount of bandwidth you use?

the vocoder that comes with fruity loops is crap..
i might use vocaloid...

but yea.. i found that out recently while doing a search on google...

If I recall correctly, Telephony was the reason vocoders were invented - to boost the frequencies used in a lo-fi connection. Some bright spark eventually decided to use the technology for musical stuff :)

since you guys are talking about Vocoders, i thought I'd post something very trivial--something like Wendy Carlos was the first person to use a vocoder in a song, which was none other than the theme from "A Clockwork Orange", later remixed by Cygnus X (the orange theme).

i thought that was interesting :p
