DamN! 4th & B was hoppin' last night. We got in around 10:30 and still only paid $10 - which is an insanely great price for over 6 hours of partying with this lineup. The Love fridays decor is definatly cool and I was glad to see the island platform out there in the middle again, hopefully to be used this time.
Boris MD opened up with a solid set as usual. I'm glad this guy gets called in to open because he always gets things seriously warmed up, and the headliners are always stoked off him.
The place was filling up nicely by midnight and (i think that's when BT went on) and I saw him getting ready with this total stern look on his face for a while, and all I could think about was how he was reported as a dick last week. Great a stuckup Dj. BUT after a few songs he totally got into the vibe and was jumping around just as stoked as we were. Towards the end he had this 3 remixed song combo that ended with Flashdance - can anyone else remember the other songs in that?
Sharam starts off with a Say Hello snippet but quickly moved into that thunderous tribal style. A couple of my trancehead friends were unsure about where he might be going but eventually were completelky feeling it. The gogo's made their 3rd or 4th round on stage at about 3am- and girls.. the bunny styles were AweSomE :toothless And sure enough I turned around finally to see DeslYn rockin out on the island platform, later joined by the other two girls (hope someone got that picture;) ) Sharam just knows how to layer those thick ass beats so good- just kept that sound thumping. My feet hurt like a mutherfukker and that usually doesn't happen, but I'd hear the mix and the next sick track coming and have no choice but to keep moving. He encored until about 4:10 with a couple tracks I couln't ID but there was still a grip of people there, which impressed me (good job SD!)
Party all the time was in there, of course Dreams. not sure who spun My MTV, but that went off.. Ill remember more later

Such a fun night last night!!! I'm not a big fan of BT but his breaks style made me move last night. His set was good but Sharam's was better! Just like you said serch, Sharam's tribal style rocked the house! The basslines were fat and the beats were excellent. He was much better last night than the last time I saw him back in October.
We had a booth but I didn't even go up there that often, I was too busy dancing my ass off! 4th & B's setup was alot better than last month for Armin, hopefully someone will post pics but I don't know how many TA's were there last night.
I did get to meet one TA, I think it was jennavive..I drank a little too much to remember but I think that's right. She's a nice girl.
It was a good night and I'll see you fuggas @ Sander in K tonight! |

| I seriously dont think i stopped dancing for more than 2 min the whole night. I woke up this morning and saw that the freaking security stamped my arm like 8 times lol. BT looked pissed when he got up there (equipment issues?) but he rocked it hard. It actually surprized me considering anytime ive ever seen bt i have been unimpressed but hey goodtimes. Sharam laid it down my legs hurt because of this man!! Was already WASTED before i got in and we had table service in our booth so i didnt spend any money either waaaaay siiick. |

I agree with the previous posts. One amazing night with insane energy for all the DJs. GIANT in San Diego is off to a great start so I hope they keep it going. And they should with Tiesto, PVD and Digweed coming up.
Cool to see a big show in SoCal and not have 100 washing machines ruining the vibe with their pushing and mindless zoning out up front.
Also...
Getting in took 2 minutes with a pre-bought ticket at 11:30. So easy.
Boris MD played the "MTV" song that got people going and then followed with "Du What U Du" from the latest Lee Burridge mix with Sander. I love this track and Boris dropped it perfectly.
Then BT took over at 12 and really got the packed house moving with his Apple. Some tracks I could ID were the BT classics:
"Flaming June" and "Dreaming"
He also dropped "Reign" from UNKLE and the Deep Dish
"Flashdance" track.
The crowd was loving his style and energy and he seemed to be having a great time.
He finshed with "Loves Comes Again" and everyone went bonkers for it. A preview of how crazy it's going to be for Tiesto.
Sharam started with "Say Hello" around 1:45 and people just love Deep Dish beats in San Diego and he kept the energy going till 4.
Dave Dean was hanging out in the Hip Hop Lounge above the stage and was pleased with the turnout and vibe.
One critique: It's too bad the re-modeled glassed-in lounge which looks down on the crowd and DJ is always playing bad hip-hop all night. Nobody is listening to the hip-hop DJ in there and it's a bummer that such a great new lounge goes to waste. They need to pipe in the main room DJs. |

There is a remix of the original ' Noir - My MTV' being played but it may have been Deep Dish - Flashing For Money (Sultan Club Mix) which has the exact same guitar sample/melody thats in MyMTV..infact when I heard Deep Dish's Essential Mix set from last summer I thought it was a remix of My MTV...either way both tunes are massive...glad everyone had a good time -- I'm still kicking myself for not going.

Hell yeah Friday was sooo much fun! We had a blast running around in our bunny ears and tails. Figured might as well be festive for the holiday. BT threw down an amazing set, and I was stoked that he played Love Comes Again, freshen us up for Tiesto in May. The crowd was awesome and the vibe was ridiculous, one of the funnest nights!!! Hope someone has photos of our outfits cuz we don't. :(
Gearing up for Sandra Collins this Friday and Junkie in 2 weeks, SD is blowing up! I went to Avalon on Sat to see Sander K, that was insane too. Thanks to all the peeps coming on Friday and having a blast. Makes it fun for us to pump up the crowd!! |
