Vocals on Reason 2.5

well, i wanna use an acapella on my track..but the bpm of the accapella is slower than my track's bpm...how can i change the bpm of the acapella ?
BOOsTER
I always did it so that I changed the BPM in some other program and then used recycle to split the vocals to phrases as I needed them...

sorry can't advise anything better...but my guess is that you can't actually change the BPM in reason easily (I mean when working with audio-material)

hope that makes sense :)

no you will have to buy it and see for yourself! there is a demo from the props homepage. read about it on there.

also you could rewire it with cubase and do the vocals from there!

other than that booster is on the money;). booster i thought you could alter the bpm in recycle anyway:conf: me need to buy recycle soon.
BOOsTER
no you won't be able to change BPM of a vocal in Recycle...

I said you'll have to do it in external program

the thought behind using recycle was more dividing the vocal to verses...or wherever you need it :)
mzvirbulis
nah its alright all i would need to do is find the original bpm of the sample vocal and put that in recycle then that will allow me to then sync it with my track in reason when in rex format.

yes?
BOOsTER
I believe it won't as it doesn't work with so big slices...not sure...

I think that ReCycle or rex doesn't do timestretch...but when you use it on drum loops it inserts some silence after the slice so the other starts on beat again...though...never tried it on vocals...but I believe it works this way...so there's no timestretching involved
and in that case you would need 1000000000+ slices in one rex file of your vocal...when ReCycle will allow you save about 500...not sure though, someone can correct me if I'm wrong
