anyone go to Danny Howells @avalon boston on fri?? I couldnt make it since I was seeing tracy morgan at the comedy connection.
Dubs, I know you went..how was it? Did you end up going to see Gabriel and Dresden at Rise, or to the super secret afterhours party??
Also, anyone see G+D @ Rise? |

Howells did as good a job you can do within a two hour set at Avalon. He started off with upbeat tech house and built things up for a bit into electro bombs. He played some really trippy tracks after 130 and finished with a track (unsure of the title) from his Ultra set. I love his music but it's just not fair to get anything less than a long set from him.
I went to Rise for a little while but I'm not really into Gabriel and Dresden type tracks anymore and they killed the dancefloor with that massive Jonathan Peterslike wreck. I left around 515 and headed to the afterparty. |

I was disappointed that he ended at 2AM on the dot. People were cheering for an encore but he didn't give one! Boo.
And the performances at the opposite end of the DJ booth were so very strange. A guy in a bunny suit was humping a dancer while another one was whipping it dominatrix-style. :whip: |

Thanks for the id man. I like that track. Any other tracks you knew? Were you in Miami at Pawn Shop?
Two hours of Danny is still pretty fun although quite a tease and yes that bunny was creepy lol |

I was there
first hour i was on the dancefloor downstairs then I went up on the balcony by the DJ booth
danny seemed trashed as hell, but he was spot on. Mostly tech house and some electro as GU said...
he was drinking from this huge bottle (unsure what it was)
I was surprised how skinny he was...
...but he did sign my 24/7 copy :)

Don't recall any other tracks but I'm glad he didn't play the new Madonna remix that he did... ew. And no, I wasn't in Miami for the WMC but I've had his Ultra set on repeat. Oh, and I'm a girl. :tongue2 |
