leopard geckos can go months without eating. you can tell how healthy they are by the thickness of their tale.
a friend had his on sand from an early age (bad idea when they are new borns, should be kepy on kitchen role as a substrate) and it became impacted with sand, and couldnt , therefore didnt eat. it went 5 months without food and was on the brink of death but my pal had been giving him drops of veg oil. the oil loosened him up in time and he did a big turd full of sand and started eating again. |
