very expressive. a bit to much for my taste. actually, it sounds pretty random. did you have these melodies in your head before you started or were they just clicked out? i think you should spend more time on getting the structure right than expanding it. i'm not telling you it all should be 4x4 straight and , but you know.. more so that you/the listener gets the sense and feeling of the track. because now it just took some pretty weird and unexpected turns, which made it kinda uncomfortable to listen too. the thing that, however, i thought expressed a/the mood was the sounds of the synthesiz0rs
so to summarize my thoughts: keep the sounds, work the melodies out some so that they sync in harmony and don't feel like notes just scrabbled out, don't necessarily use/put in the drums until that you feel that the melodies alone would make the track complete (you know?) and just keep working :) |
