Dude, you will probably get something anyway, just wait and see..
But I do sincerely agree with some of you other people here too, especially family think they can just rent you for free and fix their computers for hours. I mean C'mon!!! I'd fix several of my family's computers and they are the , like pentium III, running at 400mhz. The work it self might not be that big, but with a slow mofo like a pentium it takes ages to boot and if theyre running Windows 98 or something like that its just.. grr..
its soo time consuming...
anyway, when youre done with the job, after like 3 hours for fixing a hdd, setting up a new computer or probably install the internet (which isnt alwasy That easy as it seems) you got a lousy pay, say like 20-30 bucks. and the next time you come you do it for "free" since you got paid last time..

also, keep in mind that she either called around and found out how expensive it would be, or she thinks it would cost about 500.
is your aunt nice? does she like you a lot? is she generous? does she think you need the money? based on these, you might put the ball in her court.
or, if you do side jobs a lot, you might tell her, well, this is what i usually charge (i.e. 200), and then this much for each subsequent support call (50), but since i love you so much, i'll just charge you 75 |

well its not like my aunts paying me. its her boss, so i dont care about him. apparently they want me to install a slave hard dive on this other girls computer too, easy peasy...
it doesn't sound like they want much, its only 3 computers, 2 running xp and 1 running 98. i used to be the network master in win 98, then xp made it so easy that anyone could do it :( |

so it's all p2p? is it a cable modem that's in the same room?
as easy as you want to say the job is, take into account how much it would cost them to go elsewhere.
with the slave drive install, i'd say 120 and the girl's phone number. |
