Best Aphex Twin album EVER

hey guys
im just discovering Aphex Twin, his work, his tracks (windowlicker is a track which i know for more then years, and which i really adore), and his capabilities, his influence, his stories .. etc. but his work is just simply to big to listen to, and decide whats best (imo).
i know his brilliant in his work, and the numerous things he produced are all very high quality stuff (so i've read)
so my question is;
- which album of AT is the best (or one of the best ..)?
- and whats his best single?
- and whats the best video thats ever been prdocued for one of his singles? |

And on it there's stuff like Heliosphan and Xtal which is awesome. Check it out! |

personally i'll always have a soft spot for his Richard D James Album...because it was my main introduction. it's also pretty brilliant.
my favorite track off of it would be... Fingerbib....has the greatest nostalgic value for me hehe...
that being said...i also really love all of his ambient work because some of the peices are just so beautiful... |

Check out his latest release. AFX - "Chosen Lords".
It's basically a compilation type album which he has picked 10 tracks from his 'Analord' series of vinyls. It's excellent. "Fenix Funk" is incredible. |

| I'm personally partial to ...I Care Because You Do. It sounds like he's actually trying to make songs rather than just wanking around with sounds. |

My favorite is 'Selected Ambient Works 85-92' with 'I Care Because You Do' a close second.
My favorite track is Xtal.
Seems like we recently had another thread going about Aphex Twin that had some good posts so if the search is working you might want to give it a try. |

listening to Nannou makes me feel like im in a 1930s toy shop after closing time, watching the screwed-up toys dancing in circles to the melody.
chosing a favorite among his stuff just isn't possible for me. i love it all. |
