edit - sorry for hijacking thread, couldn't help myself
i hate to say it but avalon/axis promotion seems to have gone to the dumps. someone should have a chat with dave ralph and find out what the hell is going on? i know he's always standing outside looking like he works the door so maybe u guys could make that happen pretty easily. i am not saying this so anyone gets all defensive on me... or to be told that armin or schulz or ferry are really amazing cause that's really not the point here. i love boston and i wanna move back there asap and always liked avalon... i just can't help but notice something drastic has changed with the events they are throwing.
why is paul van dyk not going there 1.5 years after his last gig when he used to be there every few months and it was one of his most frequent north american stops? why no sasha booking in sight this year? how about digweed? how about deep dish 4 hours with both ali and sharam? why do there seem to be no bookings from any quality big names? why and how the are they bringing tiesto to landsdowne street and inside the club... how could such a thing take place in boston where laws are difficult to begin with.... and if it is happening, why is it happening for tiASSto when they won't even face up to their own standards of the past in terms of bringing the biggest and best talent inside the club? they seem to be bringing a lot of crappy (my opinion of course) famous djs and really not bringing the kickass ones as they used to, especially this time of year when things really turn around in beantown.
seems the only good gig lined up is the one with sharam... exceptions like zabiela and the dish are cool, but these are not really major events like the missing ones. i just can't get what's happened to change things for the worse.

Ferry Corsten, Christian Smith, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, Sharam, Armin Van Buuren, Danny Howells, and Steve Porter have all been here recently. Nic Fanciulli and Digweed are coming soon and im sure Sasha/PVD will not be too much longer. |

| i guess it's just a matter of taste...howells, sharam, warren, maybe seaman are the only ones of interest on that list for me. i haven't heard smith. fanciulli is fine and glad to see they booked digweed, i wasn't aware of that. yeah i really do wanna see pvd and sasha back on the roster so i can have some great excuses to come to town. |

this was a rant to see if i'd get any insightful responses.
armada3, really, don't worry about me... there are plenty of dutch trance and worse yet commmercial cheese dance music loving monkeys out there on dancefloors like avalon who will happily fill up the tool population that's going to see tiesto live @ landsdowne etc. maybe you will join? |

| Yea seriously. Schultz? It's about time Markus makes some official news about how his last name should be spelt. His remix with Elevation of Eluna Severance has his last name spelt on that too. :whip: |

Maybe I will. I'll join pvd as well once I get the chance. The point is, avalon is doing pretty good job so far and your criticism is inappropriate ;) |

i'm sorry, are you honestly making fun of someone who likes tiesto when you are obsessed with pvd? isn't that um, the pot calling the kettle black? |

first off, i really don't know if the guy likes tiesto or not.
second i couldn't disagree with your statement more. frankly i'd like to say anyone who compares (pvd whether they like him or not) to any big name trance djs and think it's a valid and comparable comparison really doesn't get it at all. i choose not to speak of pvd and tiesto or any other big trance dj in the same sentence. lol at pot and kettle. paul would be the fire in that ineffective analogy.
paul is the only technically skilled (big name) dj that plays a lot of trance (although he plays a lot more that is just as important in defining the pvd sound). the rest of them (big name trancers) can barely hold their own in that regard as their technical abilities are more than questionable...this comes across in the music blasting out the speakers at the club very obviously to me.
anyway whatever to each their own. |

pfu , this thread is about markus, pvd whore. technically skilled???he plays with a laptop :stongue: ,why is he better than markus??? u feel sad because armada djs make pvd look like . read about markus and u ll see that he is a little more musically educated than pvd. people have diff tastes, if u dont want to go to tiesto, just dont go, i dont give a . |
