Infusions Show at Element last year I'd consider one of the best live shows of 2005. (NU-NRG is the other contender).
This show--hm. Got there around 11 pm. DJ Hollow (outside) was playing good tracks. We were about to go inside around midnight, when who walked outside to cool off BUT Infusion! They are seriously, very, very, very nice guys. They stopped to chat with us. I went into tongue-tied mode, but congratulated Jamie for his Coachella slot. He remembered talking to me about Coachella last year! WOW! I was in shock that he'd remember talking to me. I'm not going to Coachella this year, as all of the people I'd REALLY want to see, I've seen other places.
The show--the first half I was just not loving. It was good, but it wasn't insanely good like 2005. I was debating whether i was just too tired (work) or seeing lots of other shows (also true).
But Infusion gave it their all. Turnout was respectable (200?). As always, the biggest groover in the house was Infusion's Jamie.
At 1:45 they slammed on "Girls Can Be Cruel", then kicked it into gear. The last 30 minutes was AWESOME, except for me being totally beat by it being so late.
Overall: B+ The first half was too slow, though they took it up a few notches in at the end. I'm certainly not sorry I went, but 2005 was, (in my opinion, as always) a better crowd-engaging performance. |

I saw them for the 1st time this past Saturday and Lostep was after them. I have to say I was completely floored and not expecting them to be as incredible as they were! Like you said, they're totally cool, down to earth guys.....we got to meet them before there set when we were walking in then after they were done. Just watching Jamie jump around and be so into what he's doing makes them that much more fun to watch as well. :)
Also loved when they dropped "Girls Can Be Cruel" which is a favorite of mine.
Glad you guys had fun. :) |
