Heads up for Ferry and Above and Beyond (pg. 2)

I don’t get it. This website is called Tranceaddict and yet most of you are criticizing this genre of music. You’re making this very difficult for after-hours and producers to take decisions. Should Trance just stop in Montreal ? Still the Trance night at Aria is very popular ! And most of you appreciate Nick Pilon style and devotion to music. That being said I just hope that who ever gets booked here, if you are in fact a Tranceaddict show some respect to the promoters. Knowing that I would break even bringing in town some DJ’s I would do it has much has I could. But let’s face it other then the fanatics that knows who is Above & Beyond, who is Christopher Lawrence or even Nick Warren. Today’s asking price for one night is just insane. The regular party people don’t really care who is playing it’s just bigger profit if you don’t spend 6000$ and more on 1 DJ for 3 hours.

Anyway, there are 2 rooms @ SWIRL : Urban and Trance...so A&B @ Trance room would fit just great.

i only signed up on TA cuz they gave me a free email adress:p
I used to really dig Trance, but when 95 out of 100 releases sound the same and are rushed to be released you get a genre that is bound to receive criticism.IMO Trance needs to abandon the standard Ferry Formula and go back to its roots.The music was a little more loose without the obligatory 2 hour breakdown until the buildup.:p
ps Neo...John Creamer is House, so i dont think it will be a trance room. |
