ive got this issue pissing me off so hardcore right now.
i went to boot up fear today and it was cool for a minute or so, then all these tiny little sketchy red and black dots started flashing in corners and stuff. some enemies bust in the room and i thought "whatever." so im taking care of these guys and the game crashes.
this happened twice.
so i started up elder scrolls: oblivion because i havent started it yet. about five minutes in the red dots are back and it crashes.
ive got a quite decent system and have been playing fear for a while on high graphics levels with absolutely no problem.
wtf?
please help

assuming your vide card is compatible with these games ...
update all your video drivers.
short of that sounds like your video card is shot. |

Sounds like you have a directDLL issue with your graphics aperature settings. Simple fix. Boot to your BIOS and go into hardware settings and restore to default. Its an issue that is caused by a faulty update that Microsoft passed through last week.
Am I a computer wiz? No. I slept at a holiday in express. And all of the above information is junk my overly drunk mind came up with. None is meant to make any sense nor work... well maybe defaults, but the other crap is all bs :toothless |

im installing drivers from ati's website.
but seeing as i just did this 4 days ago i know its pointless |

| Try updating directx to the latest version. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling your video card while making sure you remove everything. |

| overheating / power supply. fear is a very hardcore intensive game. it demands more than the power of 1 jesus card |

so i reinstalled some windows driver
and reinstalled ati cataclysm or whatever
its all good. i just played oblivion for a while. phew. annoying when you cimmit a crime..
