hiya peeps. thought one or two might be interested in these...

Isoterra - Wait for Me (download)

138bpm. bit of a slow-builder, was trying to do something different as far as trance structure goes. i guess it doesn't do that much but has some nice pads/synths, & has quite a hypnotic feel in places. really tried to build a feeling of anticipation waiting for the bass to kick in after the break, hence the track title

Isoterra - Lava Lamp (download)

136bpm. this track is very simple, based around a simple 'up & down' melody, backed by a simple 2 note stringline. it has a heavy kick & kinda funky bass, would fit well in a progtrance/warmup set i think

Virtuastar - Beyond the Skies (2006 update) (download)

140bpm. this is pretty much a note-for-note remake of a track i made in 2002... it's a basic hands-in-the-air supersaw trancer with quite a big uplifting hook. i kept it as close to the original as i could, only updating the instruments to make it sound tougher & cleaner. there's even an oldskool stock fruityloops sample in there :stongue: for nostalgia's sake

hope u enjoy at least one of these.. comments appreciated :)

I like wait for me. Main mel is a bit repetitive but somewhat entrancing, especially towards the end. Would be nice towards the begining of an epic/emotional set.

Listening to laval lamp now.

Don't really like the jumpy bassline. Feels a tad annoying after awhile. Synths are nice.

Beyond the skies; very nice intro so far. Bass change at 1:25 feels a bit akward.

I like the clap ;)

Melody feels oldschool ;)

Wait For Me well produced.. but i find the chords too happy and repetive for me to enjoy.. and the basschange doesnt make it any better..

Lava Lamp this one has a more interesting sound, i like the bass.. melody still a bit too happy and bright soundning..

Beyond the Skiesi like the melody in this one the best..

overall i find your track very well produced and has a very polished and clear sound.. all following certain standards.. but personally i dont find none of the leads and hooks in either of the tracks catchy or interesting.. seems like the same old A-Scale stuff to me.. nevertheless they do all have a "pro sound" ...

had a breif listen to all thre tracks, yeah the mastering is cool but they dont take me anywhere musically, like standard trancey stuff. You could include more elements percussion wise but overall good stuff. Nice work keep it up

thanks for the comments guys. and yeah i guess i kinda suck at making cool original melodies.. hehe. reason i normally stick to remixes & working with other people's melodies (see terrafusion stuff)

glad you like the production though... that's probably the part i spend the most time on :)
