really quite strange this. its not even running in the processes, which can only be a good thing really. ill boot in safe mode as suggested. |

booting up in safe mode is a sure fire way to get rid of the malovent .exe
but you wont ged rid of the reg files that any .exe will have added unless you go looking for them using regedit under the run command.
my advice is to get a 10 pound lump hammer and smasssssssssh the pc into little bits.
that aught to teach it/you a lesson it/you wont remember/forget easily |

I recomend you download this program called Doctor Delete, Its a program that can delete files that won't delete, You choose the file you want deleted, When ever you reboot the computer, The program will then delete the file before XP fully loads. You can download the program right here. |

awesome program, but also powerful
don't around with it unless you really know what you're doing, you can delete things vital to your computer pretty easily
i learned that the hard way one drunken night :(
but anyways, its got a function to delete a file on startup
idk how it does it specifically, but i'd imagine just temporarily creates a batch file so when it restarts, before windows boots it executes the file and deletes the file you specify, then starts up windows
works pretty well
best of luck, i got hit with spyware hard last year
ended up reformatting, which i wouldn't recommend, but i got rid of a lot of useless junk i probably wouldn't have otherwise and my computer runs great now |

| fortunately i had a fair idea what i was doing anyway. i have and HND in computing and a a degree in business IT, but stupid things like this would never be covered on the course! |
