07:30 Halycon - Orbital -> Emmie - More than This

First mix, started out way off, near the end, didn't sound like you tried to fix it, but I think it came a little closer....I loved the way the set started. This song I feel doesn't fit properly, a little too happy/funky, the first track set such a great atmonsphere. I think a dub version would have fit much better. Ah well, no biggie....on to the next mix...

10:52 Emmie - More than This -> Chicane - Saltwater

Well, sounds like you simply cut the leading channel and introduced the new one, not a fan of this. Song at least seems to flow with the progression so far.

14:06 Chicane - Saltwater -> Lange - Drifting Away

Who are we kidding, there was no mix whatsoever here, you simply cut the previous channel and brought this song in.

16:40 Lange - Drifting Away -> Stunt - Raindrops

Sounds like there might actually be a mix going on here....Pretty close to being bang on, I commend you! Job well done and exponentially better than the previous transitions.

20:57 Stunt - Raindrops -> Cosmic Gate - exploration of Space

Once again, the mix was way off. Glad to hear you try and fix it though. Read on for more info...

Decided to stop listening here....

Here is a list of things I recommend you do:

- Practice more on beatmatching. As far as I can tell, you don't have any skill in the beatmatching department. You try and mask that by cutting songs out or what sounds like the use of a X-fader. Choose two records, and mix between the two. I did this when I first started learning, did it for an hour and my skills improved immensely.

- Record your sets ALL the time. You are already well on the way with that, so kudos for that.

All I can say is practice. The more you practice, the better you get at handling the vinyl, at beatmatching and the better your ear gets. Just keep on working at it.

Hope you enjoyed the review...
