the greatest hit i've ever seen though was when that guy from the OHL got nailed and did a 360 in the air. it was on rock'em sock'em 10. if someone actually finds that hit on the net and posts it here i'll buy them a drink! |

It's not a specific 'nerve' that gets you knocked out via a hit to the jaw, it's the fact that your jaw gets slammed up and multiplies the impact on the skull resulting in a more severe concusion at the back/top of the skull. If it's hard enough it helps contribute to a KO.
(as a MMA athlete I've been taught extensively keep the jaw tight because of this risk and to go for that kind of a hit if you see the jaw wide open)
but yeah it did look like he got hit on the button in that regard. |
