Define 'good'. Classical and trance are in different leagues, that's a given and for that reason I don't compare them. At least only to the extent of whether the remix is a faithful interpretation of the original melody or not. imo the two genres are appropriate for different times and situations and these remixes can bring classical melodies to a time and place where the original music would never dare to tread. |

| Didn't like the Izzy remix, haven't heard the other ones, except for the Darren Tate one. I just prefer the original. |

I don't consider the score to Gladiator to be very classical. Certainly not Now We Are Free. I think there's a difference between a score and classical piece. And classical music may be more complex and elaborate, but it isn't automatically better. Film scores do these things:
1. Create ambience.
2. Evoke images or themes.
3. Convey specific, relevant emotions.
Even though you can remove a film score from its base material it still retains a fundamental aspect of the film. Trance doesn't give a . Trance just steals the big, cinematic melodies and uses them for hands-in-the-air moments. It's usually totally inappropriate and desperately unoriginal. |

I agree, they've done better remixes (and tracks of their own as well), but I didn't think this one was half bad.. |
