My girlfriend has the Shure ones and I don't really like them. Because they're so high quality, you can hear the mp3 distortion when using the iPod. I also don't like how thick the wires are, especially in the winter time. I bought 2 pairs of Sony MDR-EX71s (one for the office and one for my iPod) and haven't had a complaint in over a year.
