*APRIL 28th :: 2006 BUZZLIFE DANCE CONTEST | GRANDMASTER FLASH | BASSBIN TWINS | DYLAN
On April 28, Buzzlife will be hosting its second annual dance contest!
This year we're going to make it bigger and badder than ever before!
This year's installment will feature two categories, breakdancing and
freestyle, with dancers boasting the sickest skills and dopest moves
ever to grace a dance floor. 16 contestants in each category will
battle it out head to head, one on one, to determine who has the
heart and the skills to rise above the rest to become the second
annual Buzzlife Dance Contest Champion! OVER $1000 IN CASH AND
PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED.
Music: DJ LANTERN, DJ PROXXY and MARK FORREST will spin breaks.
Special performance by TRANSPORT [dancingbeam.com], featuring
last year's contest winner, Wendell Cooper.
Please note: Contestants MUST register at 9pm sharp.

During hip-hop’s nearly 30-year history, few names have become as well known to music lovers
across the globe as that of Grandmaster Flash. Not only is he responsible for inventing the
musical genre called Hip Hop but his pioneering use of the turntables make him The First DJ
to play the Turntables as a Musical Instrument thus helping to elevate the status of the DJ
to a masterful, artistic position. He is universally recognized as a visionary artist. He
is also responsible for assembling one of the earliest and greatest rap groups of all time –
The Furious Five – these are some of the hallmarks of a career which has extended from the
Bronx in the early 1970s to all corners of the globe into the 21st century.

The Bassbin Twins live set is an anything goes mix bringing in broken beats both old and new
school, jacking tech house, electro, and funky drum and bass all put through the Bassbin blender
and mashed in the name of up for it party music.

The name Dylan needs no introduction when it comes to drum & bass, He has been at the top of the
scene for some time now and this is well deserved! His style ranges from demented darkness to ghetto
funk, always retaining those trademark hard-driving, solid beats. Forthcoming projects include the
launch of his own new label Freak Recordings, releases for Goldie’s Metalheadz, Timeless, and a
continuing onslaught of discothèque destroyers for your listening pleasure.
