Choosing a Caribbean Island (for vacation)

Sorry for English. I thought I would post this here since this relates to Central America.

I am planning a vacation to the Caribbean, maybe many of you have vacationed there. There are many islands, some famous (e.g. Aruba, Dominica) and some not so famous (e.g. Curacao).

What is the best island, given the following criteria:

1) Good nightlife for young people (clubs, discos) - in other words, I don't want a resort only with old seniors or married couples; some are OK, but I also want to go to nightclubs and dance

2) Topless beaches (I assume this would exclude any English/American places);

3) Safe - safe for tourism

Thanks!
P.S.: I was considering St. Maarten, but I don't know if it has a young crowd and cool clubs.

There are a few Dominicans here, but other than that there are no Carribean guys in forums.

try to come to Roatan @ Bay Islands, Honduras.... best beaches I ever seen! and by the way on 5th August, there's a nice beach party celebrating here, local djs and international djs, for more info, visit: www.sunjamutila.com

Dominican Republic is pretty straight, they have all inclusive
packages in PUNTA CANA.
Chicks galore and just overall caribbean feel.
Otherwise, jump on a cruise and voila, you get to see a few islands.

Well I see you might have an insightful point on this . However, I was wondering why of all the forums would you browse this one (not that it's bad or anything) but just that's for Spanish and Portuguese speaking people :D If I'm not mistaken T & T is an English speaking country. Anyway, go have a good time and start to lime.

Hey thanks. But are you sure about the beaches? The Dominican Republic seems to be an "American family destination"

Maybe some resorts are more European... any names you can recommend?
kopi_luwak
Jamaica for sure.
Kopi =o.

almost all beaches here are topless allowed, mostky in the east coast, Punta Cana and stuff, also in samana
