1. learn Chinese
2. learn Cambodian
3. become at least a san-dan (I hope one day) so that I have something worthwhile to pass on to my children
4. learn an hour's worth of Pali
5. not to have raised retarded kids.
6. read enough times to be able to properly quote and discuss the Dighi and Majjhima Nikaya, and the Abhidhamma.
7. experience a fight to the death
8. win

Something I have done in my lifetime that I am very proud of....something I had wanted to do since i can remember.....

was talk to someone of great importance and ask him or her a question of great importance.

I talked to the highest member of one of the three sects of Zen Buddhism. He was from Japan and had an interpreter and everything. Basically, this guy was the equivalent to the Pope in his sect of Zen Buddhism.

The whole class was about Being & Time, and he had come to give us a lecture on enlightenment.

my question was, once achieving "enlightenment", how do you KNOW you have achieved it (like is there any sign or significant change) and how do you know OTHERS have achieved it before/after you?

the answer I got was even more vague than the question, but well worth the time to listen.

:p

fishing is way fun!! i'm planning a trip to go fishing in kentucky and i would like to go deep sea/ crabbing in florida sometime.

we'll totally go out sometime here in georgia though. i think a weekend fishing license isn't much. we could also rent poles and all the other stuff too. let's look into getting a group together one weekend.

in georgia, a daily license (including WMA) is $3

TA fishing trip ftw! I would go :)
Mr. Pink
