In reason 3, the NNXt sampler is supposed to support .wav files, however, I have just got some free .wav samples with computer music magazine and I saved them in my documents.
I then went into the patch browser, through the nnxt and I can't find those .wav files.......
Is it the location I'm putting it in or what......????? |

The wav files are not yet a patch or .sxt file that is native to the NN-XT. Open up the editor window of the NN-XT and you'll see a file browser. Opening the wav file from this location, not the patch browser, will allow you to open and edit wav, aiff, sfz... as indivdual files or batches of files that you can then edit and save as an .sxt patch.
Hope this helps. |

are you trying to open them as a patch?
that won't work
you have to open the advanced NNXT editor...and use load sample instead
if you do it this way and they still don't appear then there's the possibility that they are in a wav format that reason can't read.
It does read PCM wavs (the most standard ones)
btw...if soundforge can open them...you can just resave them and they usually work. |
