Zizou is one of footballs legends , a great player who is known for his calm attitude and his remarkable contributions with Juventus, Real and his national team France.

He could win a match alone. He was the greatest player since Maradona. |
What about Ronaldo? Not taking credit away from Zidane of course but Ronaldo is one of the greats and he has yet to break the WC record for goal scoring. Plus, Maradona wasn't that great. |

Lets take a look at the awards and trophies zidane has won over his glittering career:-
2 Scudetto's
1 La Liga
1 Champions League
World Cup
European Cup
3 times world player of the year
European player of the year
Anyone who can say that a player with those kind of honors was lucky needs to be slapped. Zidane was one of the best players to play the game over the last 20 years and his presence will definately be missed not just as a footballer but also as a person. |

not a very surprising decision, over the last 2 or 3 years his game has really went downhill. but at the time of france98, euro2000, and the champions league real won with him.. well.. that was one hell of a player.
respect. |

Zidane is one of the greatest player of our time .
But I just don like his style for some reason.
I think he's over rated.

he is one player off of the team that i respect but i still think that he isnt as good as he was made out to be and ive seen him play alot bc i watch the fox soccer channel religiously. but real madrid has talent and no one can take that away from them they even have good back ups that just made the team this year so i look for them to be good for a long time not just one of those them two- three year teams that drop quickly after their veterins retire or go to other teams. i also think that real madrid is the best team in the world so i may be a little narrow minded |
This may be the funnies thing I ever read on the forums. Respect for "following the Fox soccer channel religiously". You couldn't make it up |

I respect him he is a great player. I always hated him when he played with Juve...cus I hate Juve..and I was pissed when Brazil lost to France in the 98 WC. But I mean, he is a great player.
While I was watchin a game..dont know which one..but the guy commentator was tellin a story on how he used to be a ball boy and he used to watch Michele Platini (sorry for the mislabeled name) but he always dreamed to become like him, and I acheieved it, in fact better with winning a world cup..where Platini just won a Euro cup I believe, but great player, especially from free kicks!
oh yeah, didnt he say he was gonna retire like two years ago from the french national team? or he did? |

| Very good game today with a goal by Zidane. There's no better way to say good-bye and thanks to a home crowd than with a goal. Lovely header. There was nothing the goalie could do but to watch it go in. |
