Sure it's a Wednesday, but that just means less conflict with other events! Got this in the GBH mailer:
Mylo - Exclusive NY DJ Set
Hiro Ballroom, Wednesday May 10
GBH, Giant Step and Tease are teaming up to bring you Recall Lab #2 - featuring a DJ set by the UK's MYLO.
Apart from being just about the most talked about name in dance music, Mylo is one of the very best DJs we've ever heard spin. Needless to say, we are all very excited to have him back to play for us.
There will also be an early live performance by world music talent JEHRO, who released his highly anticipated self titled album on Recall Records April 25. The sultry-voiced, Caribbean soul influenced singer will be joined by his musicians on stage for this early live show. The NY Daily News' Jim Farber describes JEHRO's album as "Island music at it's most soothing. Wonderful. It may remind you of a young Sting crossed with Sade, but whipped into a sound smoother than either's."
DJs Angola, G.O.V. and guests will also be spinning.
It's going to be a great night.

You make it sound like it's only acceptable to go out on weekends. I mean, if you live in Manhattan, or even close to it in Queens, Brooklyn, some towns in Jersey, you can still go out until 2 or so and be fine for the next morning. You just can't get all pilled out or obscenely wasted, so if that's your club style (not directed at you, Sal), weeknights aren't good. But if you just want to go and listen to good music, it's easily doable. I mean, what else are you going to do, sit at home and watch re-runs of The Simpsons on Fox? |

Screw it, tickets are advanced tickets are sold out at Other Music, as barosoap called just now before I wasted the time stopping to pick them up on the way home from work.
They had them 2 hours ago, but oh well... |
