lol yeah IS i agree is for n00bs. but as rukes said not for the distance and the fact that he is holding it the whole time.

Yeah...its just more practical to up the shutter speed in those situations...IS will help you get a far away pic of a mostionless object, thats about it.

if i was taking club photos...i would use IS too but
for club photos...i would definitely go with 24-70mm 2.8L

Not for club shooting. I can get some good zoomed in shots from the VIP booths at Avalon with a slow shutter speed thanks to the IS.

lol im not that knowledgeable either. i understand a bunch of stuff but when its listed out like that im not really sure of what it all is. i know the 3 lines before the last were lenses but beyond that i am like..huh?
