So i'm going to be in Europe this summer and specifically will be in England when this two day festival massive is taking place. If you haven't read into this year's yet there is a complete lineup out at www.globalgathering.co.uk/ which includes Sasha, Tiesto, PvD, James Zabiela, Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish... all playing this ruckus tented festival. My question is have any of you tranceaddicts attendend before/have encountered a reliable review? The whole idea is beautiful, but I'm not one to throw around £ 112.50. Especially when I may be able to atend Loveparade. Global Gathering: yea or nea?

I've never been, but i have heard very good stories about it. i think it is definatly worth the money. Also it is Godskitchen who have held so many festivals including HI:FI, escape to the park, Global Gathering etc, for many years so they know what they are doing. And it is their second year for camping so it should theoretically be better than yast year. They are my thoughts and i am also thinking of going, but dont have many friends that much into dance music, and they probably would'nt pay that so i dont think i'll be going? i'll be trying to persuade, for sure?
Grrrrr
I went a couple of years ago and it was amazing and i'll certainly be attending this year :)

2004 would have been WELL worth it. 2005 was meh. 200 bucks is a lot for a dance music festival. Prob wont inlucde ure spending money either

I have been to Global Gathering since 2003 and last years was very good prob the best one for me. Its well worth going if you ain't been to anything else like it - the sound in the main arena was very loud for a festival and the production was rivalling gatecrasher standards as well.

However Gods are taking the piss with that price would expect them to sell tickets for each day as it never sells out so prob best to go for the Saturday.

Gods are taking over the festival landscape and all there festivals will be the same and the experience will become stale. If you are in the UK a few weeks earlier check out the Glade - cheaper and 3 days and way way better atmosphere: www.gladefestival.com

If you don't go, you will always be beating yourself up for being too cautious to spend 200 beans... I'd do it. It'll be a blast.

I have been to a few of these and no, it's not worth it. The Loveparade will be as well, don't do that either.

go, probably not worth it on face value tbh but it is something that you will remember for the rest of your life and you cant put a value on that. last year was special

yeah i'd agree with this. worth it for the experience if anything, especially if you haven't been to a fesival of that scale before

as for production, atmosphere, lighting, sounds, decoration, partypeople it doesn't come near the dutch festivals. They are a hole lot better and cheaper.

I would say love parade or go to dance valley or extrema in the netherlands which also are being held in the weekend of july 15
