it's not 19 hours... i dont know why the hell it says that but it's not... that's impossible... i leave around 7pm sunday night (east coast time) and get to amsterdam at around noon (amsterdam time)... you gotta take time zones into effect and all that... and by the way, i only have 2 stops, and i could care les for the price i paid... and yes, this is one way... i'll worry about return flights when i have to... if i have to

so, round trip would be 350 + 187 = 537. sounds more like it. still a good deal if one doesn't mind the stopovers.

If you are thinking of flying into london then connecting, bear in mind london stanstead and luton are north, heathrow is west, and gatwick is south- and london is huge. From experience- heathrow to gatwick you are looking at 2 hours+, heathrow to stanstead/luton minimum of an hour and a half (in light traffic) and that is on a BUS- there are no direct train services or anything connecting the airports, unless you fancy one hell of a horrible hourney into the london underground and ty train network to get from one to another (can advise if anyone needs help). It is doable but is a pain.

Easyjet fly a lot from london stanstead to ibiza and are cheap and cheerful if you book well in advance. There are only two services from JFK to stanstead- MAXjet and EOS, which are both all business class airways. MAXjet are great (have flown them three times to NY) but the fare will cost you $1500 so not useful as this is a thread about cheapest flights! :toothless

Just be aware that a lot of these low cost euro airlines sometimes bend the truth slightly! For example, ryanair say they fly to barcelona- when in actual fact the airport they fly to is about 70km away from barcelona (BCN) airport  so be careful. So check the airport code rather than the name!

Personally I would do British airways NY-> Gatwick, then gatwick--> ibiza. Costs a bit more, but i am fussy about who i fly with, cant stand long layovers with the inevitable delays and prefer my baggage to arrive in the same month as I am visiting! :toothless

If anyone needs any advice with getting from one london airport to another if you choose to do that route then drop me a pm- glad to help.

Has anyone taken Air Plus Comet or know anyone who has? The reviews I've read are very mixed and I understand for the cheap price there will be delays. I'm fine with that but I'm most worried about losing luggage! Can anyone advise taking or not taking this airline?

Check out Air Berlin (use google).

Thing is your going to have to fly into Munich or something so you can get a direct flight to Ibiza.

Thats how I am doing that this summer. Forgot the cost but its like 30-60 Euros one way, but I can be wrong.

^^^^^^ Freak definitely knows what he's talking about.

I did the Heathrow-Stansted-Ibiza thing 2 years in a row and it was STRESS CENTRAL. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially if you have 3 hrs to get between landing in Stansted and leaving from Heathrow back to North America. The first year I made it, the 2nd year I didn't  haha

If I had any advice...the cheapest for PEAK season in mid-Aug is to go to London and catch Easyjet from Gatwick. You can save yourself the hassel of taking the bus to Stansted (26 pounds round-trip) or the 'Stansted Express', which isn't 'Express' at all....

I WISH THEY HAD DIRECT FLIGHTS TO IBIZA FROM NORTH AMERICA, THEN EVERYONE WOULD BE HAPPY!! (not going to happen)
