Edit: OK, so due to these being on back order everywhere, I've decided to probably just go with the Sony V7506's, I just need to know if I'm going to run into problems with them on my Xone 62 mixer, as I have had significant issues with the sound quality of MDRV700's on the aforementioned mixer.
Quick help would be appreciated, as I'm near at a coffeeshop near a Guitar Center right now and could feasibly go pick up my new phones right away... :)

I tried to see if anyone had by chance used these in the HP thread, but to no avail.
I'm planning on ordering these tomorrow ($169 USD), as the majority of the reviews I've seen have been positive, but I'm wondering if any TA DJ's have personal experience with em?
Cheers! |

i use the 7506 and love them, have used pretty much every headphone out there

Do they work well with Xone mixers? My MDRV700's sound like coming out of my mixer... |

| Wow those K181's (5 Hz to 30,000 kHz) have a wider frequency range versus the classic and discontinued AKG K240M's (15 to 20,000 Hz) that I have. Mine have very beautiful sound, but get uncomfortable around the ears after a couple hours of use. It's not very ergonomic if you ask me, but the benefit of that rich sound is what counts. You're making a great buy with the those AKG's so let's hope you like them. |

The problem is that I have a string of gigs next weekend (4 gigs, 3 nights) where I need to have a solid set of phones, and I can't seem to get these phones from anywhere right now. Every order I place I get told their on backorder and won't be available for 3-6 weeks.... :(
I really don't know what to do... |

BUY THE 7506s!
i have used them countless times on lots of mixers- including the 92 and 62, and they are wonderful.
The reaon the 700s sound coming from that mixer is because the 700s are e.
If you hate the 7506s, i will eat my hat. |

That sucks man. If you have a local Sam Ash around your area they are selling those same headphones for $200 and you can buy them direct, no? Here's the link |

You and your "I beat the exchange rate and got some cheap CDJ1000's!" have already gotten your cut from us silly Americans as far as I'm concerned... ;)
And @ Stevie: I probably will end up giving these a shot eventually, unfortunately I just can't wait right now. It sucks, because I was really interested in hearing how they sound, the only reviews I've ever seen are all on sound engineering boards, and people seem to say that aside from the fact that they can be a bit uncomfortable, they rock!
Backorder is a bummer. |

I ordered sony v6's this monday, should get delivered today.
Before I bought them online I ran through 2 guitar centers and neither of them had the v6's. THey all carry 7506 though. I thought of getting the 7506 first but after reading the reviews they are pretty much identical to the v6's but cost twice as much.
The lowest price I found on the net was $99 dollars. (For 7506) GC has a nice Price match policy. |
