LOL... that was hilarious. So Max is like.. did you hear that? did you hear the fire alarm? I'm like.. yeah right.. that tripple vodka redbull is kicking in now, eh? He wasn't kidding... when I left 10 mins later there were fire trucks outside and firemen runnin all over the place. |

To me, a clubbing experience is all about comfort level. This is not just having somewhere to sit but feeling comfortable in a space. I can honestly say that Sonic is probably the highest comfort level club that I have been to in a while. I can see myself having chill nights there and I can see myself going all out until noon or whenever.
Some points:
-eventho there are mirrors in the washrooms upstairs now, it's still a bad situation. The club wasn't full and the wait was horrible. I don't know what can be done about that.
-i love the open concept, where you can see the dancefloor from the back corners too.
-the patio will be awesome in the summer time
-the colour of the speakers is excellent
-the stereo needs to be worked in
-the mix of people at this event was perfect and i expect the same for all the other nights. *crosses fingers*

Some questions:
-whats the deal with the liquor licence? obviously openning at 1 doesn't leave much time to drink so I am assuming no liquor licence.
-is there going to be discounted prices for guestlist or anything like that? i know it's really cheap of me to ask that but i am soooo poor and i want to go often but i can't afford it. :) |

good times were had, was a shame i had to leave early for work this morning. I was really impressed with the club, really nice renos, dj booth is immaculate and loaded with top notch equipment(one more turntable would absolutley complete it ;) Sean miller did an really good job, really enjoyed his sound, one of his mixes in particular really stood out, one of the best mixes ive ever heard. Nevio was digging into the circuit side of house and i got lost. Sound system has potential, but u could really tell its just out of adjustment, nice clean bass.
Thanks jeff for hooking up a fun night out!
p.s. all u tas were ing hammered, im not used to seeing that many people drunker than me. good times. |

liquor licence = not to be seen, true afterhours
guestlist (average) = regular nights ($20) big nights ($30)
it's limited, so i can only do them in + 1's. first come, first served.
stay tuned though guys.... i have something in the works that may come in handy for all of TA. |

| WOW! What an amazing night! The initial shock from when u reach the main floor after coming up the stairs...Really nicely done! Very nice at first with free drinks (bonus!) and ppl walking around talking checking stuff out etc. Then Cajjmere came on and started up the dance floor, and ppl got more and more into it! The lights they put into the space is way better than the original one centre circle around the disco ball. I am sure they will pull out all the stops sat with the lighting to show us what it can do! Those of you who were not there, UR GONNA LOVE IT! Can not wait until Saturday! See you there! |

I get a text message from Max at 10:00 pm last night asking if I want to go to Sonic....all I could think was WTF...is he confused...doesn't open till Saturday.
