yeah yeah yeah... "oh no not these punk'd remixes" :D
i thought i should post this before there are millions of other mixes posted.

Sander van Doorn - Punk'D (Magnetic Flux Remix)

i think it turned out pretty nicely, although not nice enough obviously. very dark, driving track with a huge groovy bassline to which the whole track is more or less based so don't expect any big melodies :)
supported by dj precision, nicholas bennison, graham gold, cellec, darude

Hi!

The bassline is nice and I like the dark feel in it! But its a bit repetitive, I think it needs some break and/or a bassline change. I have not heard the orginal so I can not compere, however its a good job! :)

just started listening...
nice start, deep & dark, sets the atmosphere....getting banging from 1:28, nice dynamics on the track...nice effects coming on @ 2:50...the breakdown is okay aswell, but it gets a bit repetitive after some time but I really like the overall sounding of the track, the production is great but I think you should have add a bit more effects or some extra melodies.
Great work altogether, 8/10 from me :)

hey!
well i don't know how much you guys are into techtrance, but big melodies, bassline changes or breakdowns known from melodic trance aren't really the point of techtrance, but driving rhythm, hypnotic repetitive feel, funky, dark feel, techy sounds and stabs are more what this genre and this track too is about.
there are some breaks and silent parts in this track too, but just not similar known from melodic trance, as i thought there wouldn't be point in that as there are really no melodies in this one.
thanks for the comments! :)

I could agree with you on that, I just stated that I miss something from this track, however it is a great production in overall. Maybe I'm just too much used to your Allende alias.

yeah i love to produce different styles, maybe that's why these magnetic flux tracks are so raw since my allende tracks are very melodic and atmospheric.

hmm it should be up? doesn't the link work? works for me atleast..

Love the verb and echos, nice and spacey..

Bass is deep :) Really love techy stuff like this..

Dig the analogue stabs at the back of the mix, again verb really helps keep it all nicely spaced..

I like the snares at 1:30 but they are perhaps be a little bit too high in the mix for my tastes..

Love the resolve at 1:54.. great pad work!..

Digging the vox hits.. gives the track nice mean(er) edge :D

Nice synth work at 2:54 - does feel a litte bit muddy to me though but am listening on phones so might be down to that. Love the way you fade it back into the mix, very slick..

Great build at 4:40, really adds to the tension..

Nice breaks at 5:07 - again sounds a bit muddy, but might well be my phones again! The synth elements seem to crowd a little here though, maybe some EQ could help seperate them out a bit?..

Overall great effort, is definately something I would consider playing out!

Great job.

Nothing to fault but I have a question and it's probably kind of daft.

I have been trying to get that driving snare sound in some of my tracks but never managed. Is it a snare with delay to repeat 2 or 3 times or have you done something different?

Cheers
