It's too soon to make a solid judgement, but judging from the low quality samples, this album isn't all too shabby. :)

A few standout tracks (Voices From The Inside, Hollow Dream, For Always In My Heart, Swoon :eyespop: ) alongside a few techy bangers that don't really work for me (Salvation, Time Is Running Out, The Perfect Blend). They are part of Mike's new style though, so I expected a few of such tracks on the album. And let's face it, in a club they'd tear the roof off! :eyespop:

So this is not that much of an album to listen to at home, but more of an album you play in your car at high volume while heading for the club.

Track °1 (Lost My Way) grew on me already  ... It's very catchy. At first I didn't like it that much, but now... damn :)

As for the rest; Hollow Dream & Voices from the inside stand out. But actually I need to hear them entirely before judging them properly ;)

May 29th on Armada's webshop, I believe, and HMV and Virgin webstores. I purchased M.I.K.E.'s 'Antwerp '05' compilatoin from HMV Hong Kong. Very fast, efficient service. Definitley recommended. And to those who are wondering why M.I.K.E. released Strange World '06 and a lot of his recent productions on the 2nd disc, we suggested on his board he add a bonus CD of his recent tracks to add to the awe factor and make this album even more desirable ;) Dunno if he did it for us, or he had it already planned, but it's definitley a nice treat.

Cheers.

tru dat...it's original to see a producer stick to his guns, regardless what the rest do!

judging from the samples:

CD1

01 Lost My Way (5,5/10)

average track, vocals are nice, i just think he could do better with this song. Good point on this track is that it gets better as it progresses.

02 For Always In My Heart (3,5/10)

my god what is this?? really not feeling this track, way too poppy synths.

03 Hollow Dream (4/10)

title is a good description for the song, but i wouldn't say it's playable in a club environment, just too boring.

04 Salvation (4,5/10)

i recognize these synths from somewhere, dunno exactly what track :/
another pretty boring track imho.

05 Time Is Running Out (5/10)

percussion in this track is well done, but the track misses a certain 'hook', like the previous tracks.

06 Swoon (ft Lux Lisbon) (6/10)

overall a nice track, although the vocals aren't my cup of tea.

07 Perfect Blend (7/10)

the title track. opening synths are nice, percussion is very good. very anticipating bassline, perfect for the synths that come in later.
best track so far.

08 Innerlife (7/10)

loving the bassline, nice and unique build-up, vocals are the worst element of the track here.

09 Voices From The Inside (8,5/10)

We knew this one already, a very good track, enough said :)

10 Believe In Miracles (6/10)

Well, what do we have here? An ambient track from M.I.K.E. :)
nice addition, but does nothing for me :)

CD2

01 Totally Fascinated (7,5/10)

Nice track, enjoyable synths and melodies :)

02 One Night In N.Y. (7/10)

Another nice track, a bit more techy and repetitive, but nice anyways :)

03 Massive Motion (9,5/10)

Pure bliss, one of the best M.I.K.E. tracks ever.

04 Fuego Caliente (8/10)

We knew this one too, nice track, superb synths. Although the Dimitri Andreas Remix is better, it deserves an 8.

05 Intruder (M.I.K.E.'s Rework) (8/10)

Enjoyable techtrance, very similar to the original.

06 Pound (Original Mix) (8/10)

Nice track too :)

07 Strange World (M.I.K.E.'s Rework) (3,5/10)

Man this track blows. Horrible bassline, what's with the acid bleeps during the break? they suck. 2000 Remake over this anytime.

08 Turn Out The Lights and Outro (9/10)

Another famous track by M.I.K.E., a real classic. Outro is OK.

A very average album by M.I.K.E., i really think he could do better than this. Look at the tracks on CD2, and compare em with CD1, and say yourself, this is not an outstanding album.

ING AWSOME:eek:

I really didn't know what to expect on this album, lots of his stuff really hasnt been my cup o tea lately, but I'm completely blown away. How anyone can listen to all those samples and give it an average rating of about 4/10 or something is beyond me???

Stick to your ty McSchulzVanBuuren nu-prog dogturd or cheesefest trance e or whatever you're listening to then...

Amazing album, I'm definately buying it.
