Someone Wrote @ Spundae L.A:

DJ @ Spundae/Circus 01/10/04

I'm not one that follows DJs or knows who the "hot" DJs are but this past Saturday at Spundae I had to get the name of the guy spinning. As it turns out this guy's name is DJ Talla 2XLC from none other than our gracious host's home country of Germany.

15 minutes into his set and the place was rocking'. Anyone that was sitting on the sidelines, anyone that was outside smoking or chatting quickly made their way back inside and onto the dance floor. As I glanced around from ground level it was amazing to see how many people crowded the dance floor (and if you've been to circus you know about the gigantic dance floor). In order to get the full effect I quickly ran upstairs to get a bird's eye view of the place and WOW it was amazing, I don't think there was one person standing still (except those that over indulged in alcohol and passed out on the couches).

Like I said, I'm not one that follows DJs or knows one DJs reputation from the next but I have to say if you ever get the chance to listen to this guy (Talla 2xlc) DJ I highly recommend the experience.

New Article on GrooveTickets.com regarding Talla 2XLC @ Club Heaven

Club Heaven consistently brings all sorts of international geniuses in to their epic club nights, but this Friday, May 5th expect a pure dose of deep Teutonic trance, courtesy of Talla 2XLC. The reigning and globally beloved German king of techno trance has been developing his pioneering, epic sound since his early 80's days at the legendary Dorian Gray (R.I.P.) at the Frankfurt Airport, and he's only gotten better with age. For this special residency launch night party, the legendary DJ/producer presents “Fusion Episode 1,” a riveting synthesis of past productions and fresh new tracks. D'Morse will spin an exclusive closing set, while Joshua Lee provides the opening music, with Charles Torrence playing somewhere in the middle. It all goes down at the Hollywood Arena, of course.

At this point, Talla 2XLC has pretty much done it all. Way back in ‘84 he launched the now legendary Technoclub, where fans would flock to catch sets by an influential array of techno and trance deejays, including tons of today's hugest electronic music stars (Sven Vath, PVD, Carl Cox). He also founded his own record company, Music Research, which houses labels as important and intense as Chaos, Tetsuo, Suck Me Plasma, Bonzai, and Technoclub. And, of course, he's traversed the planet many times over to slam capacity crowds with his unique trance beats.

But he's far from finished adding talents to his resume. In 1997 he joined forces with Sony Music to kick off the massively successful “Technoclub” series of compilations. A range of deejays have been featured so far, from Tom Wax and DJ Hooligan to Toucher and Moguai, and the comps have birthed no shortage of chart-storming hits. The series has since moved to Universal Music but Talla 2XLC's editorial savvy has not waned in the slightest. The “Fusion Episode 1” party is merely the tip his Club Heaven residency iceberg, and definitely shouldn't be missed. Get on your feet, and move.
