Road closures this weekend

Yonge St. will be closed between Dundas St. E. and Queen St. E. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday to allow for a hockey jamboree organized by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Gardiner will close in both directions from the Humber River to Carlaw Ave. starting at 2 a.m. Saturday to allow for annual maintenance and road work.
The eastbound lanes will reopen at noon on Sunday, while the westbound Gardiner will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday. |

Thanks for the reminder. People going to the Guv and anywhere else tonight should take note - streets are going to be jammed pack.
Especially since it's such a beautiful weather - everyone is going to want to be out tonight.

yeah getting home last night from footwork was a bitch.
i usually head south on spadina, go east on lakeshore and theres a gardiner on-ramp one traffic light east of spadina....
but last night i had to take lakeshore all the way to the dvp.. argh
at least guv isnt that far from the dvp |

If you're coming from the west end you should be fine. This looks like it's mainly on the east side. |

Gardiner will be closed at the Lakeshore Exit so you can still get off at lakeshore |

Ok but they said only from Humber river on. Doesn't lakeshore start right around there? It looks like he can still take a first strech of the Gardiner from the 427 to lakeshore.
If not then jump over to the Queensway and take that across the lower end of the city until you can get onto Lakeshore. If you can get onto at least part of the Gardiner then take it until Islington or Royal York and then go north to The Queensway. If you are only going for the night, traffic shouldn't be too bad. I had to do a similar thing a few years back and it worked ok. |

the gardiner reopens at parkside at the lakeshore.
the reason i said he would be affected is because the lakeshore has been completley ed with traffic all day |
