Hi !
I Need your help bad!!!
I produce with cubase and nuendo but i guess it can apply to any vst using program...
I always produced withtout a midi keyboard, yesterday i bought one.
It works good but i have a freakin problem?!#@$$^$#@
How in the world do I assign a VST function ( Cutoff,Res,etc ) to a desired knob on my keyboard?!?!?!
This may sound stupid but I thought id be just right clicking my vst and it would work...but it seems more complicated

I dont have a keyboard but when looking through manuals iv found the answer to this many times.
Look through the cubase manual, the vst manual and the midi keyboard manual.
It should be fairly easy. |

Cubase is when it comes to CC# assigning to controllers. Basically, unless your vst has built in midi learn Cubase can't really do this. You can, however, use the generic remote to link incoming controls to knobs on VST instruments and effects. It's not a very effective way of doing things, though, because every time you wanna map and new CC to a vst, you have to open the generic remote and create a new mapping for it.
You might wanna try running energyXT inside of Cubase, that program has the best cc mapping I've ever seen (actually, for straight-up midi sequencing, that program kicks Cubase in the balls :D ) |
