if you hate the boringness and uncostomizability of windows, but dont like the software "limits" of linux, check litestep out.

Itīs a good change of screen from the old and hated Explorer. But donīt install it if you dont have the time to read the manual.

It has a medium learning curve, that may discourage some ppl.. but the reward is a nice custum desktop that can impress your friends.

yeah but it dose slow yr pc down a hella lot..

dont know if its worth it..

That and if I remember right, a new desktop icon has to be created for your new programs.

that is definately incorrect. Litestep itself only uses about 1 meg of ram and the modules i run only take up about 100k of ram... Explorer takes up much more and loads hella more DLLs. Litestep shouldnt run slower, if it did for you then it a hardware thing.

and Fir3start3r: your "start menu" directory can be put in the popup menu.... i dont put programs on my wharf, only my MP3 directory and a random notes txt file... i guess thats preference though... if you would want to put it on your wharf then its true, you hafta make a new graphic. style aint cheap, man! hahaha good call though.
