Hip-Hop: Hate it with a ing passion.
Top 40: No ing comment.
Rap: It's genres like these that automatically adjust the 10th gear of my sanity and tend to question whether the mc if this is really an expressive form of music, more like a chance for low life individuals to boast their carnal desires for more tart arse. If you ask me, I'd rather be listening to the news.. the only difference is that all unecessary earth shaking bass samples and raunchy content is removed. |

Lot's of good hip hop if you look in the right places, James Taylor is about the only country I'll listen to... Some reggae is ok, Bob Marley, Ziggy, Damien, Gondwana is decent-
I am with orbax on the well produced tunes. Chances are if it's a relly great tune you'll hear it and like it. I'll never pigeonhole myself into one genre... No point! |

damn we got a lot of hip-hop haters around here
i feel like everyone who said they hated rap was thinking of 50 cent and eminem and, hell idk whoever else the young'ns are talkin bout these days :p
that stuff is almost exclusively utter
eminem has done some good stuff, but not that much lately, he was better when he was back working with dre and didn't have quite the ego he does now
as for the rest of hip-hop, good lord there's a lot of good stuff out there
even if you don't like the lyrics, you gotta admit swollen members and jedi mind tricks have some SICK beats
and people like grouch don't have the greatest most well produced beats, but god damn their lyrics make up for it |

Swollen is great, very nice west coast beats with the grit of the east coast... Jurrasic 5 is ace, Mos Def, Mr. Lif, Dead Prez, Afu-Ra,
Hieroglyphics are probably my favorite rap group- Produced by Del tha Funkee Homosapien- their album "Full Circle" is a must listen! |

i LOVE reggaeton! though if i understood spanish i think i would probably find it a little too vulgar.
christian music turns me off. i feel like it is trying to brainwash me or something.
i listen to pop music when i am at work. if i try that at home, it's on for like 2 secs before my boyfriend is yelling at me to turn it off. |
