OMG WHAT A SICK NIGHT... I have been to my fair share of parties and that is THE BEST SET i have EVER HEARD in my LIFE??
anyone knows that bomb track that they played after darren tate vs jono grant - let the light shine in??
it starts off like a remix to u2's where the street have no name but has a mellow female vocals saying something like "i need the RHYTHM"...
absolute bomb!!
also, they played a thomas datt ish track early in the set... couldnt put my finger on it... tracklisting anyone?? |

Left at around 5am.
Had some running around to take care of and I'm now back in London.
Great to see the TA's out in full force. Mark's opening was stellar. Fantastic tracks.
A&B: great tracks, but kept playing too many massive breakdowns which killed the energy of their set for me. Great uplifting trance, massive anthems, and awesome crowd reaction though, so still a great performance.

Oh yeah!!! I remember turning to you and saying, "whoa, this is too mellow, dude!" I was hoping for some stronger basslines and A&B delivered! :D

| Nice, their sets are always good, as for the "too uplifting" comment I can understand that...still that's their style, it's how they spin. Variety IS necessary for a good trance party imo...play purely uplifting anthem style trance would be annoying imo. Last time/1st time I saw them at Guv it was very good, especially since it was the first day they used the cannon.;) |

I had a fabulous time!!
I was sober the entire night (except for 3 JDs at the beginning) and I had a blast!! I think A&B were great!
My brain is a lil fried right now...need sleep. And shower!!
Big ups to Sam! We totally owned that stage!
Great to meet some new TA's including the man himself: Swamper :D
Shout outs to Starsearcher, srg, and Jonnystel (sp?) who I also met.
Excellent to see TA's out in full force, but not digging the pushy crowd for the first couple hours.
Took like 2 pics all night! :whip: Just wasnt in the mood. Ah well.
Hope to see everyone again next Saturday for US10! And don't miss the official warm up for US10 this Friday at the Purple Room!

yeah, it was kinda sad. I think the bouncers were afraid of him. People that high don't feel pain, I think they wanted to wait for him to calm down before they tossed him... or he knew someone who was protecting him or something. |

Now that I got about an hour to kill before work, I think its a perfect time to drink some coffee and post a review.
Review:
(Note: I use only TA names, because I can barely remember any of your real names)
Got there early on with Dave(dc ajaxs) and chilled with bourgeois & Deviant_TK till the rest of the TA's showed up.
Since Above & Beyond last year was in my opinion the greatest night of clubbing I ever experienced(except for getting my car towed), I was really looking forward to this night.
And for the most part... they did not disappoint!!
Just a freakin amazing night!!
The only thing I was hoping for though was Above & Beyond playing some more classic/epic trance tracks. Instead for half their set I had no clue what the hell they where playing :(
As for the Guv crowd... why does it seem like every time you move to a new location to dance, the line of people that always walk by you when dancing seems to also follow you to this new location?? While it seems like everyone else around you isnt really bothered by those annoying s?
Ah well... still, the $15 was definitely worth it!!
