Vengeance Essential Clubsounds -- hardstyle only? Your opinions please!

Hi there,

Anybody here has "Vengeance Essential Clubsounds"? Is the percussion only good for techno/hardtrance (mp3 demo sounds like that) or does it also have alot for more melodic type trance, think Armin van Buuren, Airbase, etc.. The mp3 demo sounds really hardtrance to me, actually alot of Vengeance soundsets sound more hardtrance/techno then melodic/progressive. What about this sample CD?! I want to know more before I go buy it!

Perhaps people here who have it can write a good (mini-)review about it so I can know what to really expect from this sample CD, like does it also have percussion loops, good (long) noise sweeps, basses, etc.. and are these good for melodic trance, or only hardtrance/techno?..

Second, I would REALLY appreciate it if anybody could give a complete overview of the folders + sub-folders (!!) structure of this sample CD so I get the full picture of what's on it! That would help alot!!

PS: if you know any, please also suggest alternative sampleCD's which have percussion and sounds more aimed at melodic trance.

Thanks to anybody who can help with this!! :)

70% is drums, don't buy it for fx or basses cause that part is really limited. That's why they have ultimate bass and fx (which are also ok). I purchased them last summer and I must say I've never regret it. The guys at mutekki are friendly too.

*edit : I'm doing melodic trance myself so it's certainly useful.

Here's a screen

Don't forget Vengeance club sounds volume 2 will be released in the next few months. Well in the summer anyway.

Also there's gonna be a vengeance vst but no details as yet.

Hi,

Thanks for the screen Dezma! :) Some additional questions I hope somebody can help with:

1/ "Trancy bassdrums": how much of them in that folder + are they of the melodic trance type (Armin van Buuren, etc..)?! A screenshot of that folder would be nice if possible!

2/ "Loops" folder: are there no-kick percussion loops or what is in there. (screenshot if possible)

3/ Do "fills" mean drumrolls, breaks on top etc.. that you have in a build up towards the next measure?

PS: where did you read about VEC 2 and a VSTi version?!

Trancy are those usable in melodic trance ;)
1) There are 75 and no need for screenshot cause it's just bd trancy 1 to 75.
2) There are 375 loops, mostly without kick or high pass filtered with kick.
3) that's fills indeed, there's 20

The Vengeance line puts out the best sample CDs hands down. They are the CDs where people in the know don't want you to know about because they are actually contain good samples. Imagine that?? A sample CD that actually has good samples on it. Check out Vengeance Essential House as well its just as good as FX and Clubsounds.

I like the soundbreeze range better, but then again im into the harder stuff, also Ueberschall is very good and Zero-G.

I just got both Clubsounds and FX Vol 1. I think they both are great. Lots of great loops on Clubsounds. :D

I'd love to make my own drum samples somehow. Although I almost do with all the tweaking that goes on.
