ticketholders were told to wait so that people who were going to pay at the club could get in first
club was 95% men
sound was average
dance floor was a gaybar,shirtless pride style (not that there's anything wrong with that)
only positive reviews came from club staff and promoters (floorwhore) |

yeah it is one thing to bitch.. it is another if you are doing it for one solid purpose only as we are all well aware of what this purpose was.. I think that "haha" in the thread topic is enough to state what this is all about.. second of all, was Dopey at this party that he is able to list such things? Probably not, so no need for the crap post.. like you said.. it is their first night and Stereo has been around much longer so lets not even go here with this thread.. honestly! |

Ummm Opening Night of a hugely hyped club...cmon now.Only noobs would think everything would flow perfectly.

Lineups?Well if you have a club that cannot fit everyone, expect it.Isnt it better not to get in, then pay and get kicked out by the cops a la Circus.
The comparisons with Stereo and Sonic have to end.
Montreal vs Toronto= totally diff markets.Sonic is Sonic, Stereo is Stereo.Point a la ing ligne.People need to realize this and not waste time making comparisons.You can open up 10 clubs that are exactly the same in design in 10 different cities and not one will be the same.
Stereo works so well here, because it fits in quite well with the mentality of our clubbers.Toronto, dont give up hope because if this club is even 20% as good as Stereo you are in for a real treat.

Sonic will be a great place once the hype cools down. I hate opening nights for a club....people go because its the place to be seen that night and then they never show up again.
C & C will be an amazing party and I can't wait to be there for that. |
