Cosmicman - Your productions have been the most wicked uplifting trancers I have heard in the last 12 months. However, I do not see the reason why such a quality production like " I Love You" is only limited to 500 pressings worldwide. It's pretty easy to comprehend the fact that you are pressing them at your own costs...Maybe it's the market demand for trance has dropped significantly in 2000/2001.
I am definately looking forward to acquiring a copy if not a few copies of "Krystal Dreams" real soon as I am very stoked on sharing your productions with the general public.
Please pm me when you see this msg or to anyone with info on the releases, a post will be most helpful.

Hi there, Fire999.
I'm the financial producer together with Matti (a.k.a. CosmicMan) behind "I Love You".
I've already told it to lots of people but let's tell it once again, why we pressed only 500 copies.
First things first: the money. We're a just started label with less money than big labels so don't expect us to press thousands of copies.
Also, the single was actually released ONLY in Finland for now, and there are only 5 million people in Finland, from which only few thousands listen to trance and even less have a vinyl player, so 500 is quite a big bunch of copies to finnish market.
Anyway, since so many people from all around the world has been asking for the record, we decided to announce it everywhere that the single's been released so that everybody interested in vinyl have a fair chance to get his/her copy in the first round if needed.
Now, music business at least in Finland goes like this: Most probably you gotta release the single in your home country, and from that same release pressing you send promos around the world and that way you get (or don't get) a deal to Scandinavia or Europe, and for example if a UK label would license the track, they'll press thousands and thousands of CD/vinyl copies of it with new remixes included.
So, please try to understand that things like these take some time. And this same answer goes to people who wonder "Why you release the single so late after MP3 release?". Mp3 rips are ALWAYS spread months before the official release in every case, so it's silly to expect that the vinyl/cd for the crowd is out at the same time when you get it as MP3. MP3's are always ripped from promo copies.
But, things are rolling and ILY was just included in the CD Pool promo collection, which is the greatest honour the track can get at this point since this collection goes to every famous DJ and label in Europe =)
And, make no mistake about it (Just like Bush said): Krystal Dreams will be released soon too :)

It will only be a matter of time before a big European company licenses "I Love You" and "Krystal Dreams"
Those 2 tracks are gold.

Hi Jouni,
First of all, thanks for replying to this thread. I must say that the music industry is not an easy one to tackle. I personally feel that " I Love You" is really too good to be true. If it's really going to be maintained at 500 copies worldwide, so be it. I have several copies at hand and believe that these are like the "Microsoft shares" back in the 1980s.
Anyways, I am so looking forward to the release of "Krystal Dreams" and in the meantime, I'll try NOT to play it 24/7.

Wish you all the best jonecky, yor production along with Cosmicman is simply amazing... you guys are on my #1 spot when it comes to uplifting buildups (and im one of the biggest Trance collection owners here :))

Oh, it also came into my mind too that this 500 first round pressing of vinyls is quite similar to a collectable thing of which you can be proud of in future. Hmm, maybe we should make it a habit in future for every release, first 500 collectable numbered copies before anything else ;) |
