A floor-slamming (imo) breaks track by me. Would love for ya'll to check it out and post what you guys think. Also does anyone have any good breaks label in mind that I can send demos to? I'm thinking about sending this track and a couple of others lying on my hard drive. :)

Hard sounding.
I admire that bass sound alot.
Minimalistic at first, and I wish I wasn't up so late (I could put this on my speakers and feel more of this juicy bass -- I hate townhomes).
Very strong dancy feel to it; a definate club-friendly groove.
The pads are glassy and provide a nice counter-timbre to the rest of the hard elements.
Thanks for sharing. |

| Always on the lookout for some new breaks. I'll take a listen later when I'm a bit less busy :) |

Right, commenting as I listen...
I'd say you need to replace those 909 samples with something else, they've been done to death and sound quite dated. The squelching basslines are nice but there doesn't seem to be much low end (might just be the Acidplanet player).
You really need more layers on the percs (and maybe a rolling extra bassline). The beat seems clunky and repetitive - the track doesn't really have that much drive. In a way it reminds me of The Prodigy's latest album (which I still haven't managed to listen all the way through) - the beat sounds good at first but gets tedious towards the end since it's pretty much the same from start to finish.
At 4-5 minutes I'm hoping this would end already as the rest of the track doesn't really introduce anything new anymore. The track is just too long compared to the amount of elements it has.
All in all a very promising track but doesn't quite deliver. |
