had a couple of glitches early on but we worked them out, had a great time with everyone at narcisse, haven't had that much fun in quite some time. Vision afterwards was great, i got my dose of trance and yelled at Jono to play "Alone Tonight", which he did 45 minutes later for an encore.
i'll post a better review once my head stops pounding. |

damn, it's a mystery how I'm able to work my phone's web so well even while wasted. :) I think I do it better than when I'm sober, lol - maybe because I'm more patient.
As you could tell, it was a great night. The Baltic boys started out with a warm-up set that had some good stuff - Andy played a trance song, THANKS ANDY!! Christen revealed to me her secret and still-flourishing love of trance, to which I was very happy. :) People were getting kicked out due to excessive intoxication like nothing *coughneilecough* - and this other dude. Just a lot of madness.
Nigel Richards was nothing short of incredible. I was steadily becoming more and more hypnotized by the sounds as his set went on, and all hell broke loose when he busted out that DM remix. It was a rock version of "Nothing" that I've heard before - but never in this kind of setting. But totally the "bio" in this thread only mentioned "techno", which he pretty much played none of. So that was interesting. BTW I haven't seen a DJ work as hard behind the decks as Nigel did, in a while. He really put the FX to good creative use. Very nice to see. He really is a mastermixer, oftentimes he would have another record just playing at the same time, in sync, and do the switcheroo. Pulled it off well. What I mean is, he would keep records synced for a long period of time and switch back and forth to create breaks. He was also doing some scratching.
After he was done this other guy came on who was doing some creative stuff. I knew from the moment he rotated the left turntable one turn counterclockwise, that he was gonna be doing some "different things". He threw down some sick, albeit generally loose, beats.
Above & Beyond was great and gave me my recommended weekly serving of trance. Loved hearing some old favorites - when we got there, White Room - White Room was blaring. I knew it was gonna be a good time. Place went nuts when Sky Falls Down (avb remix) hit. Satellite was good, and there were a good number of tracks I didn't recognize that were slammin' - so glad to hear full on trance.

Maybe I just got a bit too drunk & played them too fast 
Anyway, thanks to everyone who made it, much appreciated. While there were technical problems again (stupid switch cutting off the circuit), I think it went 1,000 times better than the previous time & Yuris was on fire at the end. I loved Tomas yelling "this is my favorite song in the whole world" during every track.
Nigel Richards was a cool guy and really excited to be there, not to mention he played one of the best sets I've heard this year. He had a few technical issues too that he covered up in the most creative ways I've ever seen. Great track selection.
Open bar seemed to do everyone in again and we had to get some people home so I didn't make it to Vision. Unfortunately I felt so sick I couldn't fall asleep so I wound up watching "She's All That" at 6 this morning, so Sunday is off to a great start. Hope everyone had a blast & we'll let you know when the Smartclubber pics are up since our group was in about every one, not to mention all of Rubin's.
